Fine Art Photography + Sound: Ice Bay Feeling

Published Date: 25-09-2018

The premise behind this video is to add further depth to photography. Not just a visual sensation but also a sense of positive feeling. Similarly to ASMR the hope is that this Youtube video will provide artful mindfulness whilst simultaneously being visually stimulated. For sleep, relaxation or simply imagining yourself being there.

Sit back, relax and enjoy the feeling of being in a glacier lagoon ;)

The black and white image is taken on Iceland, Jökulsarlon on the east coast to be more precise. A little piece of heaven from the north.

Added background sounds are real waves. However, the noise is not from Iceland. It was recorded in Stockholm. Combined they mix well. One key point to illustrate is that there are no artificial or homemade sounds. Some wind may be heard in the background also. Again, this is because all sounds are real.

Fine Art Photography + Sound: Ice Lagoon Soft Waves

The premise behind this video is to add further depth to photography. Not just a visual sensation but also a sense of positive feeling. Similarly to ASMR the hope is that this Youtube video will provide artful mindfulness whilst simultaneously being visually stimulated. For sleep, relaxation and simply enjoying great fine art photography ;)

All three photos are taken in Iceland, jökulsarlon on the east coast to be more precise. The images are spaced out roughly 29 mins apart. The theme is an ice lagoon and sounds which will match the feeling of being in this incredible place.

Added background sounds are real waves. However, the noise is not from Iceland. It was recorded at vänern, Sweden's largest inlake. Combined they mix well. One key point to illustrate is that there are no artificial or homemade sounds. Some wind may be heard in the background also. Again, this is because all sounds are real.

Fine Art Photography + Sound: Raindrops

Published Date: 18-09-2018

3 artistic photos with sound. In this instance the sounds are that of falling raindrops in a forest landing on leafs. It was a light drizzle in the woods to at first so the thumps are irregular. Towards the end of the recording it had started raining more so sounds are more regular.

The three images are all taken on Iceland. The hope is that the added sound will provide an added depth to the photos for the casual observer and a sense of tranquility and relaxation.

The sound is recorded in a small forest clearing in the outskirts of Stockholm. There may be some additional sounds heard in the background but this is because these are real In other words, the recording of falling rain is not artificially induced.

Fine Art Photography + Sound: The Eye

Published Date: 09-09-2018

Image taken from Jökulsarlon, east Iceland. It is also referred to as the glacier lagoon. Although a popular destination among tourists the glacier lagoon has a surprising serenity and solitude to it. It is easy to find yourself there, or even get lost. The image is titled "The Eye", a reference to iceberg in the center of the image.

The sound in the background is not from jökulsarlon itself, it is recorded at a popular beach/walkway just outside Stockholm. It mixes well with the image on screen.

I wanted to create a sense of serenity and added depth to photography by mixing art with sound. Relax and enjoy!
